The EU Climate Diplomacy Week is an annual outreach campaign that EU Delegations around the world have been hosting/coordinating for the last four years. The EU Delegation to South Africa marks the EU Climate Diplomacy Week 2018 by setting up an EU stand at the Expo during Adaptation Futures global conference on 19-21 June 2018. The aim is to inform and explain how the EU leads on climate action and supports partner countries in their efforts. The focus this year remains on the Paris agreement implementation and the concrete theme is Talanoa dialogue/inclusive discussions: "Be Part of the Dialogue!" Adaptation Futures is the premiere international conference on climate change adaptation. The 2018 conference is held from 18 to 21 June in Cape Town, South Africa. The conference brings together the work of researchers, practitioners and policy-makers in the field of adaptation, under the moto: Dialogues for Solutions.
Petra Manderscheid, the Executive Director of the JPI Climate Central Secretariat, will present the JPI Climate work at the EU stand on 19 of June at 9:30 am. Please see the programme here.
