First Meeting of the JPI Climate's Governing Board

The first meeting of the Governing Board of the JPI Climate took place in Helsinki on 30 and 31 May 2011.

  • JPI Climate now has 13 member countries; the EC is a non-voting member. Observers are Slovenia and Turkey. Observer institutions are NordForsk, European Environment Agency (EEA), ERA-Net CIRCLE 2, European Climate Research Alliance (ECRA), and European Space Agency (ESA).
  • Germany has been elected as chair and Norway as vice-chair of the Governing Board.
  • An interim JPI Climate Secretariat has been established at PT-DLR (Germany).

 

This was the constitutive meeting of the European Joint Programming Initiative 'Climate' held in Helsinki May 30th / 31st 2011. Perfectly organized in a very pleasant atmosphere by our Finnish colleagues!
